Two patients were diagnosed with the pneumonic plague at a hospital in Beijing in China. The authorities in one ward of the hospital revealed it on the website on the 12th this month. The pneumonic plague is a rare occurrence but highly infectious, and can result in death if neglected. According to the authorities, the patients are from the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in the northern part of the country are currently treated at hospitals in Beijing.
