More than 50% of users have the same iOS 10.2’s irregular battery consumption issue. 80% of users not feel improvement from exchanging the battery.
The author of this article wrote iOS 10.2 worsen the serious
battery consumption issue in his last article.
There were many possible theories about the battery issue, such
as a battery defect, deterioration, temperature, etc. It was true that many
customers feel the same problem after updating to iOS 10.2.
Another overseas website showed a survey from iPhone users
after updating iOS 10.2.
More than 50% of the survey participants who already
installed iOS 10.2 on their iPhone answered felt a worsened battery issue.
This survey, however, has a particular evidence of bias that
most of the participants already had had the battery drain issue before they
answered. Although restoring iPhone is one of effective way to fix the battery
drain issue, about 90% of iPhone uses who already restored their device felt no
improvement from fixing the problem.
The survey about an improvement after changing a battery
showed an interesting result.
More than 80% of the participants answered there was no
improvement from changing the battery.
Considering there are slight differences in their
situations, it seems that the battery drain issue may come from other issue
than the merely battery defect. The writer expected that some software may
cause the battery drain issue, but he conclude that Apple should explain the
whole issue in greater detail.
