Anti-Aging Action with Anti-Oxidative
Potency in Sesamin
Many people older than 40 years old feel
their physical weakening and start asking a particular question how to maintain

Antioxidant component rich food are food
rich in vitamin C, like lemons and bell peppers, food rich in vitamin E, like
almonds and avocados, and food rich in zinc, like oysters. The institution focuses
on one of polyphenols, sesamin.
Smoking a cigarette, getting stress, and too
much exercise promote the active oxygen in the body. The institution conducts a
comparative experiment with 2 groups; the group took a capsule consisted of
sesamin, the other group took a capsule consisted of cooking oil. Both groups
took the capsules before exercising for particular time, either 5, 15, or 20
min. The institution staff member, and then, measure the density of fatty acide
peroxides in their blood. The result showed that the group with the capsule
consisted of sesamin has lower density of fatty acid peroxides in their body,
compared to the other group.
According to Takemoto, sesamin have a rare
component in of sesame, which is less than 1% per piece. In order to strengthen
anti-oxidative potency in the body, the people should intake more than 10 mg a
day, which is as same as taking one tablespoon of sesame. Supplement can help
to intake the necessary amount of sesamin.
Sesamin has several healthy effects
including improvement of liver function, inhibition of inflammation, and
decreasing neutral fat and bad cholesterol. Takemoto mentioned, “Our institution
studies about anti-aging as our main theme. We will study how the mechanism at
the liver after taking our supplement of sesamin.”
