 Barack Obama flighted to Australia for the presidential conference with the Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard in order to be more sophisticated with their military alliance for, as they mentioned, the gateway of Asia. According to Shearer, some Australian academics and businessmen were not welcome to deepen the military alliance with the U.S for the possible economic relationship with China. But the alliance would strengthen the Australian military power in the Southeast Asia region with the presence of the U.S military. The military alliance can also help the Australia to prevent the possible future attack such as terrors.
