
The Japanese Prime Minister, Naoto Kan, refused to apologize to the families of abductees for his political donation to the NGO group, Citizen party, the political group which support Taishi Mori, the family of North Korean abductors and whose leader is Tuyoshi Sakai. Naoto Kan accepted 62 Mil JPY donation to the political activist group but keeps saying at the conference of the House of Representatives Budget Committee, " I did not know well of the group."
Keishi Huruya, a member of the opposition party, Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), who is also the leader of the project-team of that ask the Prime Minister for his hidden relationship of the donation with the North Korea's abduction, stood against the Prime Minster to clarify his suspicious connection.
Kan answered at the conference, "I knew," about the leader of the Citizen party and his personal friendship with Tuyoshi Sakai. But he intentionally refused the relationship with the son of the abductors, and said, "I did not know about him."
Mr. Huruya asked Kan for 3 times for official apology to the victims' families for his donation with a large amount of the money to the group with the deep connection with the abduction even if he was the government's leader of rescuing the abductees in North Korea. Kan, however, kept saying, "I don't need to apologize to the family about this problem."
Mr. Huruya also criticized that all related groups of Citizen party gained the total 14.33 Mil JPY between 2007 and 2009 by regarding the party as the left-wing extremists related with Communism Revolutionist. He added about the son of the abductor, "He is well politically educated to respect the North Korean dictator at the local schools in North Korea."
